Development of Intelligent Door Lock System for Room Management Using Multi Factor Authentication

Keys play an important role in a security system. Most room door systems still use conventional locks, especially management applications. Room with keys has several problems, such as long key searches for each loan, and easily lost duplicated. Therefore, the authors propose lock system that is capable of automating control supervision via internet network. Research been done previously uses single factor authentication (SFA). This technology less secure process parties/users who want to access room. research proposes multi (MFA) aims protect from unauthorized users. The MFA concept will be implemented by validating physical token on RFID card code or PIN entered user. also increases level allows implementation identification, verification ensure user authority. results this study are prototypes can work well, realized using backend services expressjs data stored cloud accessed anytime anywhere client. combination nodejs, expressjs, PostgreSQL esp32 client technologies. validation at check-in occur within 207ms. server reliable enough execute 500 requests simultaneously. Overall, worked well management.
